Cynthia Holt Obituary

Cynthia Annie Holt was born on April 22, 1956. She died a month shy of 62 years. She was the eldest daughter of Henrietta Bing Jones who had five children. Cynthia attended Franklin High Schoo in Seattlel and graduated in 1976. Cynthia was Nursing Assistant by profession. Cynthia left behind four children namely: Nneka 41 years,(me) Mojoko 35 years, Dumbe 32 years and Simon Jr 26 years. Cynthia was married for almost thirty years to Simon Gobina.

Cynthia was a devoted mother, house wife and Christian worshiping at Center of Faith in Center in Kent. Cynthia struggled with diabetes for several years but she was a very strong woman and never allowed this illness to get best of year. She attended church every Sunday, had good humor and most of all kept her faith in God throughout her struggle with diabetes.

As a person, Cynthia was extremely, playful, loved good company and determined to whatever she wanted to do and was easily discouraged. Of course she had her challenges as we all do. Cynthia always had two statements that she made to summarize how she dealt with her challenges. She would often say ” It is nothing but work of the devil ” or she would say “I walk by faith and not by sight.”
I can’t express how much my mom means to me and everyone else. My mom taught me to be authentic and not pretend to be something I wasn’t. She said I could be whatever I chose . As I have indicated, my mother was one of the strongest persons I have ever laid my eyes on. She made everyone around her see what the power and faith in God can do and give us.

When you think of Cynthia just smile and remember all those beautiful memories she imprinted on all of us. She will be missed but never forgotten!

We all love you, see you again in Heaven. RIP
