Ernestine Miller Shells, was born on September 8, 1941. She was one of seven children born to Mr. Richard Simmons Sr. and Mrs. Flora Green Simmons. Ernestine is preceded in death by both parents, her first husband Franklin D. Miller, two children Kathy Miller and Franklin Jr. also her oldest brother Grant Simmons (Vivian) of Louisville KY and sister Dorothy S. Robinson. (Essau). Ernestine is survived by her sister Letha Rampersant, of Johns Island SC, brother Richard Simmons Jr, of Renton WA, and her youngest sister Tina M. Heyward (Eddie) of Temple Hills, MD. and brother John Simmons Ernestine is also survived by her two devoted daughters Jennifer Miller, and Cynthia Rene Miller. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Pandora Miller, Deandre Miller and Marcus Nash. Great grandchildren Dominique, Jawan, ImUnique, DeAndre, Deauna, DeAnte, Marcus Jr. and Delasia along with two great great grandsons Andre and Dominique along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Ernestine was born on Johns Island SC. she moved to Seattle in 1963 to join her husband Franklin along with their two daughters. Ernestine worked for Acme Poultry, also worked as a presser in a dry cleaners before gaining her employment at The Boeing Company from where she retired after 25 years of employment. Ernestine will truly be missed by those who had the opportunity of being around her. Ernestine loved to laugh and always had a smile on her face. Ernestine loved going to her church RBC until her health began to decline. Ernestines favorite pass time was playing Bingo her face lit up when it was time for bingo, also a special thank you to her dear cousin Barbara Simmons for all of her help when needed.
