Margie L. Albritton

Margie Lee Benard- Albritton was a long-time resident of Seattle, WA. She was born in Beaumont, Texas to the late Bethel and Pearl land.

Margie relocated to Seattle in 1954 and was initially a stay at home mother to her six children. She later went on to work as a health inspector with the City of Seattle. Where she continued to work until her retirement. Margie was an active member of the church and volunteered with numerous charities, as well as the king county probation office. She was also a foster parent to many.

Margie leaves behind a devoted family. Her husband of 40 years Lewis C. Albritton and six children; Yvette Benard, Arthur Benard III (wife Rebecca), Trent Benard, Alverda Benard, Lora Shaw (husband Arthur), Andrea “Papoose” Benard and Godchild Candice Parks (husband Michael). Margie also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of family members and friends. Margie is preceded in death by her brother Ivory Joffrion.
