Rodney Todd Obituary

Rodney Eugene Todd was born March 12, 1960 in Seattle, Washington to Shirley Oneida Todd and the late Rev. Albert Barnes.

Rodney attended elementary, secondary (Jr. High School) and Rainier Beach High School, later earning his GED. He was baptized at an early age and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in his life under leadership of Pastor W.P. Johnson. Rodney was a hard working and self motivated individual. Rodney better known as "Big Daddy" was a loving and caring person, and will always be remembered by his crude sense of humor, and "tell it like it is" personality. He never bit his tongue when sharing his thought or opinions on anything. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. They would routinely visit the parks, go on picnics and WWE wrestling events.

Rodney departed this life at 10:55pm Wed. Feb. 15, 2017 at Tacoma General Hospital following an extended illness.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Albert Barnes and one brother James A. Todd.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother and step-father Shirley Oneida and Tommy Lee Williamson. A loving and devoted companion Lisa McGowan. 5 children: Marlon Todd, Rodney (Leneshia) Marshall, Jerome Todd, Sharon Todd and Shavon Todd. 14 grandchildren: KneejaMaya, Ki' Quanna, KiyMaya, Sayveon, Qa'dir, Iz'Naveh, ZaMir, Sierra M., Aiyana M, Rodney M.
