Shirley Williamson Obituary

Shirley Oneida (Todd) Williamson was the tenth of twelve children born to the union of William
(Bill) and Ona Bell Todd, on January 10th, 1939, in Idabel Oklahoma. Proceeding her in death
were her parents. Sisters; Evelyn Brown, Tyna Gordon, Juanita Baker, Cornelia Laster.
Brothers ; James Warren, Francis Warren, Billy Todd Sr., Rev. Justice Warren, Rev. Franklin
Warren. Children ; James Todd, Rodney Todd. Grandchildren ; Carliss Todd Jr., Jimico King.
Also her beloved husband of 35 years Tommy Lee Williamson.


She received her formal education in Idabel, Oklahoma's public school system. Where she
attended Booker T. Washington High school. While attending school she was a part of the
basketball team as the leading scorer. She also was the lead singer for many of her high school
choruses performances.

At an early age Shirley accepted the Lord as her personal savior. Upon relocating to Seattle,
she joined Greater Mt. Baker Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Late Dr.
W.P. Johnson. During her Christian journey at Mt. Baker she served in many areas: assisted
with Baptist Training Union. Gospel and Mass Choirs as well as Sunday school ministries.


In 1956 Shirley moved to Seattle, Washington. This is where her journey begin as a wife and
mother. She met and married the late Willie Jean Keller in 1965. And with this union they raised
7 children. Later on, she met and remarried Tommy Lee Williamson in 1985. Where they took
pleasure in traveling, playing bingo and spending time with family & friends.


Shirley, affectionately known to friends as “O” and to family as Auntie O. She enjoyed cooking,
bowling, gardening, fishing and playing bingo. As she grew older in age she spent more time in
her home, just being around kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. But most of all her
ultimate favorite thing was: A nice cold Pepsi ( so much so, you better not touch one and maybe
on Christmas, she'd give you one!!)


She leaves to cherish her memories: Children; Rita Todd, Carla Todd, Carliss & (Annette)
Todd, Linda “Ladybug” Mitchell, Willie Mitchell, Helen Perry (daughter-in-law) Siblings;
Bertrand & (Ella Ruth) Todd (of Los Angeles, CA), Ona Bell Campbell (of Chicago, IL)
Grandchildren; Torrance Todd, Jonita Foxx, Michael Foxx, Dolonna Todd, Jameka King,
Jimisha King, Ja'Maria King, Lamar Todd, James Anthony Todd II, LeeAnthony Todd, Sharon
Todd, Shavon Todd, Marlin Todd, Rodney Marshall, Jerome Todd and Carmela Todd. 30 great
grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
