Sylvester Weaver, Sr.

Sylvester Weaver, Sr. was born January 4, 1929 to the union of the late Ruben and Effie Mae (Hyman) Weaver in Plestine, AR. He was the eldest of eight.

A product of the Arkansas public schools, Sylvester graduated from Lincoln High School in Forrest City, Arkansas and earned a bachelor’s degree from Arkansas A & M University. A solid citizen, Sylvester served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged from service in 1946. He went onto work and retire from the US Veterans Administration Environmental Services division.

Sylvester confessed his hope in Christ at an early age and was an active member of the former Bethel, now Curry Temple CME Church in Seattle, WA. He was also a member lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi.

Sylvester married the former Josephine Ethel Randall on January 11, 957 she preceded him in death on August 24, 2016.

Sylvester leaves to cherish his memories three children:  Sylvester Weaver, Jr. of Gig Harbor, WA; Mark Lovell Weaver or Northport, AL and Lisa Marie Weaver of Las Vegas, NV.
