Tommy Lee Williamson was born on December 26, 1933 in Clarksdale Mississippi to the late Ruby C. Bennett and Rufus Williamson. He was an only child to this union of Ruby C. Bennett and Rufus Williamson.
Ruby C. Bennett and Tommy Lee relocated to Seattle, Washington in the early forties. Tommy Lee grew up with his family in the Central Area of Seattle. He attended Seattle Public Schools. While in High School he enjoyed playing football and basketball, and he also recieved honors for both sports. Tommy Lee graduated in the Class of 1951 from Garfield High School.
After high school Tommy Lee enlisted into the US Army in Oklahoma. Where he served his country for 3 years. After returning home he met and married Ms. Evelyn Strand from this union they were blessed with seven beautiful children Tommy Jr, Tyrone, Todd, Tina {preceded in death} Tammy, Toni, and Tonya.
He worked at Todd Shipyard ship scaler, and as a Longshore man for 30 years. He later met and married Ms. Shirley Keller in 1985 and assisted in raising her children Rita, Carliss, Carla, James and Rodney Todd{preceded in death} .
Tommy Lee enjoyed cooking, fishing, bingo, dominoes, playing cards, and traveling. He viewed life as a precious gift from God. He had a special love for people. A wonderful sense of humor and always willing to give. He did whatever he needed to do to provide for his family and others.
Some of his favorite foods were Catfish Corner, Ivar's Fish & Chip's, and hush puppies.
Paw Paw, as he was affectionately called by many of the children he helped raise will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby C. Bennett and Rufus Williamson,ex wife Evelyn Williamson, daughter Tina, and step sons James and Rodney Todd. He leaves to cherish his loving memory wife Mrs Shirley, three daughters, Tammy (Leroy) Gibbs, Toni (Addison) Claxton, Tonya (LeBarron) Horn. Three sons Tommy Jr, (Rosetta), Tyrone aka (Moon), Todd aka (Poo-Poo). Step children Rita, Carliss (Annette) Todd, Carla Todd, and his son Steven Nicholas Taylor Aka (Nicky), and a host of grand children, great grand children, relatives and friends.
