Andre L. Nellams

Andre Lee Nellams died suddenly on July 15, 2025. He was 50. 

Andre was born on March 8, 1975, in Seattle. He was graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle, and from Clark Atlanta University with a degree in political science. He held an advanced degree in Human Resources Management from City University. 

He was Vice President of Human Resources at SEEQ Corporation. Previous roles included Vice President of Talent Experience at Siteimprove, and Senior Director at Accolade, Inc. He led human resources at Yesler Inc., was an HR manager at Alaska Airlines, and a senior human resources manager for the City of Seattle. 

Andre enjoyed traveling and looked forward to an annual family cruise, always in time to celebrate his birthday. He was an active member of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Kent, where he sang in the choir. He especially enjoyed movies, tasty food, and spending time with family and friends. 

He was predeceased by his mother, Brenda Sue Jones Akers. Andre is survived by his father Robert Nellams, stepmother Jane Harris Nellams, and sister Elizabeth Nellams (Hailey Spencer). Survivors also include his grandmother, Constance Bown, aunts Janet Nellams, Gloria Mills, Waltereen Melton, and Mary Jones; uncles Oliver Payne and Walter Payne Jr.; and many cousins.
