Anjoyli LaFaye Sims of Seattle, WA went to be with our dear Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 surrounded by family after a well fought battle with Lupus. She was 38.
Anjoyli was born to Leonard Sims and Cornelia (Connie) Simmons on March 19, 1982 in Seattle, WA.
She is an alumnus of Rainier Beach High School. Where she enjoyed singing and other extracurricular activities.
Anjoyli had a passion for people. One of the reasons that she always chose vocations that involved people such as cosmetology, tax preparation, and barista. Anjoyli had completed her certification for phlebotomy. She was in the process of studying Human Services prior to becoming too ill to attend school.
Starting at a young age Anjoyli was a member of the dynamic Electronettes Hi-Steppers Drill Team becoming a major contributor as a coach as her daughter Najairae also became a part of the Hi-Steppers Electronettes. Even while ill she still participated in various parades including the Black Community Festival and Seafair Torch Light Parade.
Anjoyli leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory; her father Leonard Sims, her mother Cornelia (Connie) Simmons, her daughter Najairae Sims, and her brother Nickolas Simmons, all of Seattle.
She also leaves a host of relatives, extended family and friends.
Anjoyli’s homegoing services will be Live Streamed from New Beginnings Christian Fellowship Church via the web site https://thenbcf.org at 11:00 AM on Friday August 14th, 2020.
