On Thursday, May 30, 2024, Antonio Demarcus Embry, age 47, was called to his eternal home due to an unexpected heart attack.
Antonio was born on Sunday, June 27, 1976, in Lexington, Kentucky to parents, Howard Blackwell and Vonzella Embry. Antonio accepted and built a strong relationship with Christ at an early age. He joined and faithfully served at Southside Temple in Seattle WA, Bishop Willie Jackson was Pastor. Antonio later joined God’s Anointed Temple in Seattle, WA, Emmanuel Ray Wells, Sr., Pastor. Antonio loved music and he taught himself to play the keyboard and organ. He shared his gift of music by playing the organ at God’s Anointed Temple. Antonio also loved going to other churches offering his support wherever needed.
Antonio graduated from Cleveland High School in Seattle, WA. After high school, Antonio began his career in management, retail, and warehousing. Prior to Antonio’s untimely demise, he was employed at DCG One as Lead Custodian and at Chevron as an Attendant. Antonio was a dedicated, committed, and valued employee at both companies.
Antonio was not only a dedicated worker but he was loyal to his family, Friends and colleagues throughout his life. The love he shared was reciprocated in return.
Antonio was a lovable son, brother, nephew, godfather, uncle, cousin and friend to so many. Antonio’s joy was infectious, making others laugh… he was amicable and the life of the party. Antonio was also quiet and reflective until he was comfortable enough to open up to you.
Antonio was blessed with culinary gifts and, as many of his family and friends can attest to. His niece, Frechanna, would say, “Demarcus, you know you put your foot in this.” He was known for his delicious fried chicken and spaghetti.
Antonio was happy, very respectful, he loved family cookouts and being in the presence of loved ones. Antonio was kind and he looked out for family and friends, often informing them about discounts at his favorite stores (Fred Meyers and Safeway). Antonio desired finding a loving wife and having children. Although he did not have children, he opened his loving arms and helped in the upbringing of his nieces, nephews, and goddaughter; Antonio loved and cared for, and treated them as his own.
We each have memories of Antonio’s gentle and loving spirit and he will forever be dearly missed and loved by us.
