Billy McDuffie Obituary

Billy Kent McDuffie was born February 15, 1968, in Seattle, Washington to the union of the late Pearl and Elmer McDuffie Sr. 

 

Billy attended Wing Luke Elementary School, Dimmitt Middle School, and Renton High School graduating in 1986.

 

Billy was employed with Seattle Times Newspaper as a Pressman Operator.  He was a faithful and dedicated employee for over 20 years.

 

Billy truly loved his family; they were very close knit.  He never had any children, but he loved all his nieces and nephew as his own.  Billy enjoyed listening to music, Anita Baker was his favorite artist. He loved traveling, eating, and hanging out with family and friends.  He liked to ride his bike and he could be seen biking all over Seattle.

 

Billy was baptized at an early age, and he attended Emerald City SDA Church under the leadership of Pastor Eugene Lewis.

 

Billy’s bright smile, great sense of humor and positive attitude brought so much joy to his family, friends and all who encountered him.  He will truly be missed.

 

Billy departed this life on October 18, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl McDuffie, and Elmer McDuffie Sr.; brothers, Elmer McDuffie Jr. and David McDuffie Sr.; sister, Audrey McDuffie; nieces, Celese McDuffie and Michelle Raine; uncles, James Washington, Jessie Washington Sr., Archie Washington Sr., and Joseph Washington; aunts, Thelma Ford, Dorothy Lee Brown, Alberta Washington, Ella Washington and Sharon Washington.

 

He leaves to celebrate his life, two sisters, Barbara Butler (Eddie) and Cynthia McDuffie-Wright; one brother, Edward Clark; three aunts, Laura Jones, Mary Jane Washington, and Thelma Washington; three nieces, Linda Johnson (Michael), Shena McDuffie and Celena Albert; five nephews, Eddie Raine Jr., David McDuffie Jr. (Wendy), David Terrell McDuffie, Maurice Albert Sr., and Donovan Wright and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and loving friends.
