Charles Frank Pannell was born on June 8, 1945 to the union of Floyd Henry Pannell and Alberta Lucille Pannell in Columbus, Ohio. He was raised in the way of the Lord at Bethany Baptist Church. At 18 he moved out of Ohio and lived all over the country before settling down in Seattle, WA.
On June 17, 1995, he married the love of his life Bonitia Hampton-Pannell. She was his everything and every day he made sure she knew that. She stood by his side until the very end. Together they raised Cassandra Hampton and Tamara Hampton-Hoston.
Charles was a hardworking man. He retired from working August 2021 after working the same job for 31 years. When he wasn’t working, he spent the majority of his time with family or at the SEIU LOCAL 6 Union Hall. He held many positions in the Union and it was truly his passion after family. Some of the positions held were Vice President and Shop Steward. At the time of his passing, he was still a member of the SEIU LOCAL 6 Executive Board. He was truly an inspiration on what being a caring husband, father and employee looked like.
Charles was called home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2021, where he joined those who preceded him in death; His parents Floyd and Alberta Pannell, Daughter Cassandra Hampton, Brothers Floyd Pannell Jr., Robert Pannell, James Pannell and Albert Pannell and Sisters Janice Foster and Barbara White.
He leaves to Cherish his memory; His Wife of 26 years Bonitia Hampton-Pannell, Daughter Tamara Hampton-Hoston, four Grandchildren Princeton Hampton, Josiah Hampton, Nevaeh Hampton and Ai’Zayah Hampton Sisters Cheryl Jackson of Ohio, Margret (Pat) Bullock of Ohio, and Saundra Dye (James) of Michigan and One Brother Lawrence (Larry) Pannell of Washington.
