Bunthy Sorth was born in Thailand to Keomalea Leng and Sorth Chhoern on September
16th, 1981, and he transitioned on January 26th, 2026. In the wake of his passing, he
leaves behind both parents, and a large loving family who are committed to celebrating
him, and all that he contributed to our lives.
Bunthy was the youngest of his surviving siblings, Chhanda Sorth, Vanna Sorth, Vanny
Sorth, Palee Matson, Annick Hackett, and Tho Sorth. In addition to his siblings, he leaves
behind 11 nieces, 4 nephews, 2 grand nieces, and 3 grand nephews.
Bunthy, a Seattle area high school graduate, and commercial delivery driver was a quiet
and thoughtful person with an incredible smile and engaging personality. If you’ve ever had
the chance to meet him, you appreciate the power of his personality and why he will be so
greatly missed.
We, his loving family, will recall and seek comfort in the countless memories cultivated
during the decades preceding his passing. Bunthy was fun, funny, and friendly; he was
charming and stylish, and he could brighten your day with a flash of the most illuminating
smile you’ve ever seen.
For most of his life, Bunthy was a bringer of joy to so many of us who loved him. If you were
fortunate enough to know him, you understood and appreciated his unique ability to
connect and cultivate sincere and meaningful relationships. You know that no matter
what his circumstances were, Bunthy was going to look so fresh and so clean. You know
he was going to present himself as dignified and distinguished. You could be certain that
he would project confidence and light.
While we are devastated by this loss, we are grateful for his life. Bunthy was our son, our
brother, our uncle, our cousin, and our friend. We love him, we will always love him, and
we miss him dearly.
