Catherine Mildred Johnson, was born May 18, 1949 in San Francisco, California to Julia Smith. She was educated in the public schools of San Francisco, California.
Catherine relocated to Seattle, Washington in 1975. She was employed with King County Metro as a bus driver and Safeway Roxbury Store as a cook. She retired in 2017 but loved working for Safeway so much that she returned shortly after retirement as a part time employee until her health prevented her in 2019.
Catherine met and married Roy McCraw and to their union two children were born. She divorced Roy McCraw and later met and married Alfred (Sammy) Fulsom and to their union two children were born and she was also blessed with four step-children.
Catherine was a Breast Cancer survivor and she battled various health issues over her life but she was a very strong woman. Everyone who had the privilege to meet her could see, hear and feel her strength.
Catherine enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, singing, she loved gadgets, spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren , and great-great-grandchildren.
Catherine departed this life and was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on June 29, 2020 at Swedish Medical center with her youngest daughter by her side.. She was preceded in death by her mother Julia Smith, her sister; Betty Jean Adams, Ex husbands; Roy McCraw and Alfred (Sammie) Fulsom.
She leaves to celebrate her life her children Rita Fulsom, Claude Lewis McCraw, Anthony Samuel Fulsom, Toosdy Dodson (Cecil), Helen Fulsom, Sammie Catherine (Kitty) Fulsom, Mary Singleton, and Karen Williams; her brother, Oscar Simmons (Diane); two sisters, Julia Gaither and Gladys Jones; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loving friends.
