Curtis Lee Alexander 67, died February 17, 2021 at the Swedish Cherry Hill Hospital in Seattle, Washington. He was born August 14, 1953 in Panama City, FL, the son of John Alexander and Ann Moore.
Curtis started his schooling in Panama City and to later graduate from Alton High School in Alton, IL, for which he was known as a champion chess player. Following graduation, he attended trade school in Kansas City, MO and UEI Technical School in Louisville, KY. After completing the program, he went on to join the United States Navy, where he continued his career in technology. He was a resident of Seattle Washington for the last 20 years.
Curtis was a very intelligent, kind, good-hearted, easy going, well liked man, with a great sense of humor, and will be missed by friends and family. At an early age, he was baptized at 2nd Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Panama City and became a member of St. James Baptist Church while living in Alton.
His mother and father proceeded him in death, along with a brother, Neal Moore Jr. and a sister, Yolanda “Toni” Jordan. He is survived by sister, Synthia Moore, Great Aunt, Bertha Johnson, nieces, nephews, and a host of loving cousins.
A service of remembrance will be held at 2:30 PM, Monday February 22 at Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation in Seattle, Washington. Curtis will be laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery.
