Danielle Ayana Gentry was born October 15, 1972 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was called home May 29th, 2024 in Renton, Washington. Danielle was the daughter of Dorothy Nell Gentry and Alfred Henry Gentry.
Danielle graduated from Franklin High School in Seattle, Washington in 1990. After graduating she then spent time serving in the US Navy. When she came back to Seattle to have her beloved son John Henry Ingram V (LIL) with John Henry Ingram IV (Jon Jon). She then obtained her AA in Sonography as a (Ultrasound Technician) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Danielle worked in many states as an Ultrasound Technician such as Philadelphia, New York, and Seattle. Where she then stayed in Seattle, Washington and raised her son and took care of her mother.
In 2013 and 2017 Danielle welcomed her beloved grandchildren Harmony and John’Pierre. She would spend countless days and hours showering them with love and didn’t miss a day to show up for them. To them she was Mom-Mom and to her younger generations of family and friends she was also known as Auntie D.
Danielle’s energy was infectious, and she shined as bright as the star she was. She could grasp a full room’s attention with her contagious laugh, warm hugs, and energetic smile. She had an amazing heart and would give you the shirt off her back if she could. She would always care for and was always ready to help others around her. Danielle loved to cook and eat and spend time with her loved ones chatting or watching her favorite TV shows.
She is preceded in passing by her mother Dorothy Nell Gentry. She is survived by her son John Henry Ingram V, his significant other Shayla L. Corlette, granddaughter Harmony Ayana Ingram, grandson John’Pierre Anthony Ingram, Father Alfred Henry Gentry, a host of aunts, cousins, extended family & friends who she loved deeply.
