Doris Trahan Obituary

Doris Jean Trahan departed life on January 21, 2024 at the age of 76.

Doris, was born in Luxora, AR to Johnnie Faultz and Queen Ola Marlow(Washington). She moved to Seattle, Washington as a young girl. She attended a few different elementary schools along with going to Washington middle school before going on to graduate high school from Garfield in 1966. She would go on to meet her Husband Eugene and they were married for over 40 years.

Doris was a mother to Anthony, Lettice and Torrey and grandmother to Anthony Jr, Payton, Amari and Israel. Also when her sister Shirley passed away she became a parent to her son Chris as well. Doris loved going to the Casino and her scratch offs and made a habit out of winning!

Doris worked at the Bon Marche for over 10 yrs before moving on to Swedish Hospital in the Cancer Care Institute division where she would work until relocating to Maryland. She would then work at Southern Maryland Hospital for over 20 yrs and her co workers there would call her “ Miss D or Miss Doris” they loved and adored her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Johnnie Faultz and Queen Ola Washington. Her sisters Shirley Ethel Brenda Washington and brother Tommie Sykes. Also her Grandmother who raised her Eldora Brown and her uncle who was like her brother whom she loved Charles Brown Jr. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband Eugene her children Anthony, Lettice and Torrey. Her grandchildren Anthony Jr, Payton, Amari and Israel. Her siblings Betty and Velma Sykes. Richard, Jerome, Rodney and Roman Washington.

Doris had a hand in her siblings lives and helped raise them all along with many others. She was a great cook, was a giver and her door was always open.

Doris will be greatly missed by everyone both near and far.
