Forrest Bethea Obituary

Forrest was born in Washington D.C. to Jean Claude Bethea and Elizabeth Mary Britton.

His early years were spent in D.C. before moving to Seattle to be with his beloved Uncle Robert Bethea (deceased) and Aunt Lene Bethea.

Skeeter as he was affectionally known, attended Mercer Jr High, Franklin High, and Washington State University before settling with the Local 86 Iron Workers Union.

Skeeter’s jr. high and high school years were spent with his 2 road dogs, Tonki (Robert Bethea) and Jerry Cain ( deceased), as they were inseparable.

In the late 1970’s, Skeeter met the love of his life Sheila-Jean Robinson and from that union was born Omari Jahad Forrest Allen Bethea.  Omari, as Skeeter described, was everything to him, his Heart and the light of his life.

Residing in Washington, D.C. are his sisters, Claudette Bethea (deceased), Mary-Lee Bethea, Rochelle Bethea, Cynthia Bethea and Barbara Bethea

Residing in Seattle, are his extended brothers and sisters, Troy Bethea (deceased), Jackie Washington, Helen Bethea (deceased), Robert Bethea (Tonki), Gina Bethea and Mike Bethea

The fond memories of his life will be celebrated by many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

He was especially close to his cousins, Lee Bethea and Tony Bethea.

Skeeter enjoyed the simple things in life, eating chicken wings, gravy and rice, driving his truck, showing family the many buildings he helped build, and losing money in Vegas

He leaves a huge hole in the heart of those who knew and loved him. WE miss you brother as you will forever be sketched on our hearts and minds. WE LOVE YOU!
