Frank "Frankie B" Brown Obituary

Frank was born in Seattle Washington on February 22,1952 the sixth child of eleven brothers and sisters born from the union of his parents Mr Abraham Brown and Chanie V. Brown. Frankie attended Leschi and Coleman elementary schools,Washington Jr High,and Garfield, Franklin and Green Hill.Frankie at an early age (5) was introduced to music.His mother put together the singing group The Gospel Five that featured Frankie and his brothers and sisters.They sang in churches ,bible schools,Union Gospel Mission and lots of singing at their home.Frankie continued singing for The Lord all his time here with us as a member of Zion United House of Prayer.In 1972 Frankie, his brother Ronald(Jr),and cousins Coleman and Lil Brown started The Band called Just Us which later they named Septimus after their grandfather Septimus Pearl Brown.Frankie's skill as a singer,musician,poet,and song writer set him at the top of his gift of music.He collaborated with his cousin Herman on lyrics for the Motown group Ozone.In 1985 Herman and Cynthina(Lil's daughter) joined his family group also.They toured in Canada,Japan and the USA.Together they have recorded,written,and produced over fifty songs.They are still making music.Frankie loved singing live.You only had to see him on stage and you could see he was a very gifted artist.Frankie often sang and wrote songs for other local Seattle bands.Frankie worked many years for Seattle Theater Group at the Paramount and Moore Theaters and performed with The Wheedles Groove Band.Frankie also loved the game of golf and was a regular at Jefferson Park.Frank was preceded in home going by parents Chanie and Abraham Brown,brothers Richard, David and nephew Kevin.He is survived by his brothers Ronald and Curtis sisters Recerline, Lorraine (Wallace),Brenda, Diane,Sandra and Tonda (Grace), sons Demitrius (Yoeuth) Frank Jr,Abraham(Caress),Merman, Daughter Sagel, grandchildren Kion, Dejaun, Lamar, Savayah Abraham Jr. Layona, Leilani, and many nephews,nieces and greats.Frankie's voice and memory will live on forever in all the wonderful songs,videos,words and deeds he left behind.
