Born on February 4, 1941 to Ruby Calvin and Beneatha Lane .Geneva Smith was the middle child of 12 children . She moved from Little Rock to Seattle in 1969. During this time she pursued higher education and Worked at Harborview as a nurses assistant and unit secretary for 25 years where she retired. In 1974 she met and married Reuben Smith Jr at Goodwill Baptist Church. She devoted her life to her children and family . A loving mother and gentle soul. Geneva enjoyed sewing-and crocheting , and spending time with family .She is preceded in death by her husband Reuben and son Michael Harris. She will be missed dearly . She leaves to mourn two children, Rickey B. Maxon and Donna Washington, and three grandchildren “ Lil” Rickey Maxon Jr , Ruby Damper, and Gege Damper . One great grandchild Autumn Jones. She has two surviving sisters and four surviving brothers , Along with a host of nieces and nephews.
