Gwendolyn was born June 25, 1957 to the union of Charles Tanner and Edna Mae Tanner. Gwendolyn attended Garfield high school in Seattle, WA and finished high school in Santa Ana, CA at Saddleback High school. Gwendolyn completed the community health advocacy program at North Seattle community college in 1985 and work for many years as a health advocate and whip clerk at Carolyn Downs family Medical Center in Seattle WA. Gwendolyn years later found she had another interest and returned back to College to graduate from the floristry program at South Seattle community college.

Gwendolyn married Calvin Tyson in 1972 and later married Anthony Scott in 1980 from those unions came four beautiful children who were the most important part of her life. Gwendolyn was a devoted mother and grandmother who believed in putting family first. She loved spending time with her extended family and friends and was known for loving her nieces to pieces.

Gwendolyn loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved to travel,shop,go to the beaches,parks and always ready to go and even more so if with her kids and grandchildren. She was an avid collector of beautiful things and loved shopping. But Gwendolyn was most known for her warm and welcoming personality ,infectious smile, and showing Love to others. Gwendolyn have many hobbies and interest. She was a florist and can grow anything. She was an exceptional cook who could describe what she was going to cook so well you would be drooling over the phone. When Dylan was an amazing person with ability to make people feel love truly and unconditionally. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. On May 13, 2020 Windland peacefully transitioned at home surrounded by family. 

Gwendolyn is preceded in death by her father Charles tanner mother Edna Mae Hickman brother Robert L Caldwel in Lloyd Que Caldwel and sister Eva may Lee. Gwendolyn leaves to mourn her sisters Rittie Caldwell, Marilyn Hickman, and Mattie Hickman and sister in law Stella Caldwell. Gwendolyn leaves her children Sheila Williams, Anthony (Nikki)Scott II, Michael (Sarveen)Scott, Sheila Williams, and Tonishea Scott. Grandchildren Alfred , Alexander,Vershaun, Shania and Aiden Williams. AJ and Anthony III Scott. Tanaya and Trevon Tomlin. Great grandchildren Valeiah and Samor.
