Isaiah Williams Obituary

Isaiah Dewayne Williams “Wayne,” son of the late Isaiah Williams and Charlie Mae McWilliams was born June 18, 1959, in Bessemer, Alabama. He attended public schools in Alabama for a brief time and later moved to Seattle, Washington with his mother, loving Stepfather, Richard Thomas and two sisters. Wayne attended South Shore Middle School, Rainier Beach High School, and Seattle Central Comm. College. Being an entrepreneur at heart, Wayne went on to obtain his real estate license, an apprenticeship in plumbing and had many endeavors. He landed a successful career in furniture sales at the Bon Marche for 28 years (now known as Macy’s) Wayne was often recognized for excellent customer service and high sales. He met many people and acquired many longtime friends. Wayne met his future love Velecia “Lisa” Seraile in 1974 not knowing years later they would reunite and marry on October 27, 1985. Wayne and Lisa are blessed with two sons Isaiah Jr. and Micah, Sr.

Wayne was hilarious, and a prankster. He would constantly play jokes on people and had a profound sense of humor. Wayne was known for his smooth style, had a passion for nice cars, particularly Mercedes and Motor homing with his family, he loved to travel, grill, camp, and everything about the Seahawks. He also loved music. On most days you could find him sitting on his back deck admiring his back forty while playing his song selection, loud! “Spotifying,” (as he would call it), and Lisa would refer to him as her garden DJ.

In 2006 Wayne suffered his first debilitating stroke forcing his retirement from The Bon Marche. During his next 18-year journey, he enjoyed old classic shows (to name a few. Leave it To Beaver, Andy Griffin, Beverly Hillbillies) and spending time with his grandson became his new favorite past time. Despite his new health challenges, he continued to enjoy life.

Wayne was a devoted father, loving husband, adored his family and friends staying in close contact with them daily. His generosity among his family and friends was well known to all.

Wayne leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife Velecia Seraile-Williams and two loving children, Isaiah Dewayne Williams Jr, Micah David Williams Sr.; siblings Vernita (Jasper) Marsh, Ramona (deceased) Hylton, Lisa Vanessa Pickings, Larry Williams, Richard Thomas and Ryan Mead; grandchild Micah David Williams II and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, extended family members and friends. We will always love you, Wayne.
