Jae’Don Nathaniel Parnell, the beloved son of Cassandra Green and Brandon Parnell, was born on August 28, 2004, in Renton, Washington. Affectionately known as “JP” by his family, he attended Renton and Kent Public Schools.
Jae’Don was a courageous Tourette Syndrome (TS) warrior who overcame various challenges throughout his childhood. With the unwavering support, care, and advocacy of his family, he was empowered to embrace his gifts, pursue his passions, and explore his career interests with determination and strength.
JP received scholastic recognition with the Community Network Council (CNC), a community‑based organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for young people in Kent. He graduated from Kent-Meridian High School in 2023 and earned certifications through the Aerospace Internship Program (AIP). Following graduation, he transitioned from student to employee at Skills, Inc. in Auburn, Washington, where he began his career in the warehouse. As he continued to grow and develop his skills, he advanced into new opportunities, most recently applying his talents as a Quality Assurance Specialist.
JP had a natural gift for working with his hands and took immense pride in restoring and retrofitting his first vehicle. He also had a deep love for dogs and possessed a calm, gentle spirit that drew them to him effortlessly—earning him the quiet reputation of a true “dog whisperer.”
Following fellowship with his family at Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Jae’Don professed his faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mars Hill Church | Rainier Valley. He remained actively involved in the youth department and participated in various ministries alongside his family. In 2025, he rededicated his life to Christ through a second water baptism at Church for All (CFA) in Federal Way, Washington, under the leadership of Pastors Matt and Kim Lagerquist.
On April 12, 2026, Jae’Don’s life was tragically taken in a fatal car accident, and he gained his heavenly wings. Though his time with us was far too brief, his radiant spirit, quiet strength, and loving presence will forever remain in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Cornell Undre’Green, and beloved mother, Cassandra Renee’ Green, who was truly his shining star. As a family rooted in faith, we find comfort in God’s promise, trusting that they are now joyfully reunited in eternal peace.
To cherish his loving memory, he leaves his two sisters, Ki’Andrea Green and Bre’Aunna Parnell; his beloved nephew, Davon Dilworth; his maternal grandparents, Charlotte and Willie Green; his father, Brandon Parnell; and his paternal grandparents, Carolyn and Stephen Parnell. He is also lovingly remembered by his devoted aunt, Erica Lynn Headen (Kevin); his cousins, Caleb and Aaron Headen; and a host of god-siblings, uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and community members who will miss him deeply and cherish his memory always.
James 4:14 “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
