Jerry L. Brown

Jerry was born in Tulsa Oklahoma on 10/27/1941 to the union of Harry J. Brown and Gertrude Rolland. After his family moved to Seattle WA, Jerry attended various public schools, and ultimately thrived in the culinary arts program at Seattle Central Community College. Jerry discovered a love of music early on in his life, and he gradually became a talented self-taught musician. He learned to play the harmonica, flute, drums, and several more instruments. Later in life, he worked as a handyman, interior painter, and window washer for several businesses in the Columbia City, International District, and Rainier Beach areas. Jerry was an active member of his PRIMM Tabernacle A.M.E. Church since 2011. He was most known for his infectious smile, his sense of humor, and his impromptu clever sayings. Jerry lived his life in his own special way, and he could always be counted upon to support and uplift his family and friends. Jerry was proceeded in death by his parents, Aunt Izella Brown, sister Pauline Baggett, brother Hareece Brown, and his bonus Mom Ms. Viola “Madear” Williams.Jerry leaves to mourn his sister Gertie Drain, sister Gloria White, brother Michael Brown, his Williams siblings, several nieces/nephews, his extended Brown family, Primm Tabernacle A.M.E. Church family, neighbors, and friends. We will always love and miss you Jerry! Thank you for all that you’ve added to our lives.
