Johnnie Lee Davis Sr. was born in New Madrid, Missouri to Sherman and Lula Mae Davis on July 22, 1937. Proceeded in death by both parents, one sister Norva Lee Cole, nine brothers: Percy Davis, Louis Davis, Monroe Davis, Charles Lee Bobby Joe Davis, Owen Foster Jr, Robert Foster, Ezell Davis, Dwayne Wright, Walter Davis, Marvin Davis, and Roger Davis.
