Johnny R. Jones, Jr.

A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, John Raymond Jones, age 76, of Marvel, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on June 24th surrounded by loved ones.

Born on March 20, 1949 to Johnnie Jewa Jones and Etta Rene Gentry-Jones. He was the second of 8 children.

John graduated from Garfield High School in 1967.

John and Pamela Evirtr’ess Cormier shared a journey that began 47 years ago and blossomed into 38 years of devoted marriage, beginning on June 20, 1988. Their union was marked by enduring love and a bond that stood the test of time

He spent his career as a journey carpenter at Local 131, where he was respected and admired by colleagues. He was there from 1979 – 1999.

Outside of work, he enjoyed dancing, music. He liked to get dressed and go out. He loved books and he leaves behind many cherished memories.

John is survived by devoted wife Pamela, his children: Donna Walker-Jubert, Youlondria “Lonnie” Bang (Rick), John Jones, Jai’Sont Jones, Johnny Martinez & Erik Lee , brothers Harold Jones & Gary Morris Jones, Sisters: Addie Marie Jones, Patricia Adrene Fadden & Loretta Jones, 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Mother & Father Johnnie Jewa Jones and Etta Rene Gentry-Jones his brothers Kenneth Benard Jones & Glen Odis Jones , his son Demicko Chatman .

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
