Julia Banks Obituary

Julia Faye Banks, seventy-five of Renton Washington transitioned into glory at 8:20am on November 9th, 2020 at Valley Medical Center.

Julia was born on June 13, 1945 in Wills Point, Texas to the union of Emerson & Louise Frank, She married Eddie Banks, who proceeded her in death. Sister Banks was a faithful member of the Renton Pentecostal Full Gospel Church, and was employed as a domestic worker, in the hotel industry for many years; before she retired in 2005.

A youthful Julia; attended a girls only high school and was an enthusiastic athlete and competitive tennis player. While living in San Francisco, California, Julia enjoyed being a part of a singing group, "Voices of Victory, Local Four Community Choir". Together with her sisters, they had the opportunity to sing back up for Shirley Caesar and the Caravans, James Cleveland and a few other well-known artists in their travels along the west coast.

Mother Julia was a loving and peaceful, yet quiet storm. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She was known by many for her love of cooking, and was often asked to cook her famous potato Potato Salad and Dressing, for the holidays' and church fellowship gatherings.

Sister Banks was affectionately known as an 'easygoing travel companion' to many women of the Federated Pentecostal Church International, and Youth Congress, where she continued to cultivate her love of traveling, shopping, and enjoying young people.

Julia leaves to cherish her most precious memories; her loving and devoted family. One son; Joshua Banks, two daughters; Taisha (Phillip) Moore, and Kim Banks. Three sisters; Carolyn (Larron) Garner-Patton, Margaret (James) Pierce of Dallas, Texas, and Joyce Frank of San Francisco, California. Seven grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Banks, her son; Curtis Banks, her brother; Ermon Frank, and her parents Emerson and Louise Frank.
