In loving memory of Laurie Ann Slaughter who transitioned on July 14, 2022. Laurie was born May 21, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri to Boast Hill and Essie Simmons. She graduated from Northwest High School in 1974, St. Louis Missouri. She then moved to Denver, Colorado and subsequently moved to Seattle, Washington to pursue her career in Waste Management.
Laurie had a love for fishing and playing BINGO. She was a member of Holly Park Community Church, 4308 South Othello Street, Seattle, Washington. Her favorite verse: Psalms 91:2, I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God, in whom I trust.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Boast Hill and Essie Hill, sister Stephanie Denise Hill, and her nephew Tyron Clemens. She is survived by her husband, William Tyler James Wade III, of Seattle, Washington, her sister and brother, Karen Burrow Khrelkeld (Tommy), Edward Lenell Simmons (Katie) of St. Louis, Missouri, and nieces Desiray Taylor and Dominique Burrow, nephews Toney Burrell, Troy Hamm, and Edward Lenell Simmons Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri. And a host of other relatives and friends.
