Lawrence Wade Jr., affectionately known as “Uncle Lawrence” or “Larry”, passed away peacefully on August 31st, 2026 at the age of 86 years old. He was a beloved brother, cherished uncle, loyal friend, and a pillar of our family who brought unique warmth, generosity, and wisdom to everyone he had encountered.
Born on September 13th, 1939 in Honey Grove, Texas to Lawrence Sr. and Mayonie Josephine Wade. Lawrence Jr and his family moved to Yakima, Washington during his adolescent years. A few years later he and his family moved to Seattle Washington where he and his brothers graduated from Garfield High School. He went on to dedicate 43 years of his life to his career as a Machinist at the Boeing Company in Renton Washington, where he was highly respected for his dedication and work ethic. Lawrence also served in the United States Army where he was a Tank Operator, who deployed to various parts of the world. Throughout his years, he showed a deep passion for cars, watching western movies, watching sports, spending time traveling with Brian, Cheresa, Evan and Bailey.
He is survived by his sister, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends he considered family. He is reunited in peace with his parents Lawrence and Josephine, his late brothers Charles, Leonard and Johnny Wade.
