Ledger Smith peacefully departed this life surrounded by love and cherished memories. A man of intelligence, creativity, and quiet strength, Ledger lived a life marked by purpose, skill, and devotion to family.
Born to the late Barbara and Ledger Smith Sr., Ledger was one of three children born to their union. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved sister, Brenda Howell.
Ledger pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Horticulture, reflecting his appreciation for nature, growth, and the beauty of the world around him. Throughout his life, he wore many professional hats. Known for his resourcefulness and ingenuity, he worked as a prospector and inventor, always seeking new ideas and opportunities. He was also highly skilled in dog obedience training, logistics coordination, and was recognized as a professional skater, talents that showcased both discipline and creativity.
Above all, Ledger valued family. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughter, Zoe King. He is also survived by his sister Thelma L. Williams, and brothers Zackary Williamson, Vaughn Ramsey, and Daron Larell Williamson.
He shared close bonds with his in-laws Tyrone Kenney, Robert Williams, and Jimmy Williams, along with a circle of nieces and nephews who brought him great pride and joy: Jatona Williams, Miz Portionte Floes, Robert D. Williams, and Marlon Howell.
Ledger’s legacy continues through his cherished grand-nieces — Kiara Howell, Briana Jamerson, Kendra M. Williams, Kendra D. Williams, Zsackia Dominique, Lynette Williams, and Shawntya Williams — and grand-nephews — Nikki Williams, Chris Jamerson, Lil Marlon Howell, Ben Williams, Rameece Williams, and Lil Jimmy Williams, along with a host of great-grand-nieces, great-grand-nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Ledger will be remembered for his quiet wisdom, steady presence, inventive spirit, and the many lives he touched through mentorship, kindness, and dedication. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
