Linda Jo Swanigan was born January 22, 1953, in Indiana, Indianapolis to the union of Beryl B. & Carlyn Swanigan. She was the youngest of two children blessed to this union. After the untimely death of her mother, her father relocated the family to Seattle, WA. She was raised by her uncle and aunt Kenneth & Lavelle Swanigan. Linda attended the Renton School District, graduating from Hazen High School in 1971. She was employed by Todd Shipyard and later Boeing, from which she retired.
She was a faithful member of Greater Glory Ministries, under the direction of Superintendent Samuel Townsend, Sr., for many years.
“Hun” as Linda was affectionally known, was a family-oriented person. She didn’t have any children of her own, but she cherished her nieces, nephews, and cousins. Spending as much time as possible with them. Being a very social person, no one was a stranger. If you met her, you became her friend. Linda had numerous friends, everyone loved her. She loved to go shopping and cleaning.
Linda was predeceased by her parents Beryl and Carlyn Swanigan, brother Steven Swanigan, Aunt Lavelle Swanigan, cousin Philliph Hall, and brother-in-law Michael Brown.
Left to cherish her love and memories are: Sister Donna K. Brown; Uncles Kenneth Swanigan and Oscar (Ellen) Swanigan; Cousins: Melanie Swanigan, Mark Swanigan, and Turhan Hall; Nieces: Erika, Tracy, Caryln, and Kamille (Immanuel); Nephews: Steven, Christopher; numerous great nieces and nephews. Along with a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
Linda will be truly missed, but always loved. Rest in Peace “Hun”
