Linda K. Winston

A FOUNDATION OF FAITH Linda's spiritual journey began at an early age. She was raised in the House of Refuge Church under the leadership of the late Bishop R. J. Causey. Later, her uncle, the late Pastor Willie Calloway, founded Bethany Temple Pentecostal Church, where she spent much of her youth and young adult years. She loved singing in the choir and faithfully serving as an usher, greeting worshippers with warmth and kindness. Linda later became a Charter and Founding Member of Redeemed By The Blood Community Church of God in Christ. She faithfully served as Treasurer of the Board of Trustees for fourteen years, Finance Chairperson for more than ten years, Chairperson of the First Ladies Fifth Sunday Fellowship, and served on the Mother's Board, New Covenant District Mother's Board, and the Washington State Jurisdiction Women's Department. She wholeheartedly supported the ministry of her son, Superintendent Lawrence C. Boles III, and daughter-in-love, Dr. Jacqualine S. Boles.

EDUCATION AND CAREER Linda graduated from Hazen High School and continued her studies through Griffin College. She enjoyed a distinguished career with The Boeing Company, where she worked for more than thirty years. Her professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic earned the respect of colleagues and supervisors alike.

A HEART FOR SERVICE Beyond church service, Linda served as Treasurer of the Board of Trustees for the historic Tiny Tots Development Center founded by the late Mrs. Helen Hicks. Whether in church, at work, or in the community, Linda was known as someone who could always be counted on.

FAMILY WAS HER GREATEST JOY Linda deeply loved her parents, Deacon Lemmie Winston and Missionary Ora Winston. Demonstrating extraordinary devotion, she sold her own home and moved into her parents' home so she could help care for them personally. She also used her resources to help her daughter purchase her first home, providing the down payment. Her love was always demonstrated through action, sacrifice, and unwavering support. She was immensely proud of her children: Lasundra Winston, a Flight Attendant; Superintendent Lawrence C. Boles III; and Minister Salaythiea Boles, a School Administrative Assistant. She celebrated their accomplishments and encouraged them every step of the way.

THE GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN SHE ADORED Linda took tremendous pride in all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She celebrated every achievement, milestone, and success, and remained one of their greatest supporters and cheerleaders.

HER LOVE FOR LIFE Linda loved shopping, traveling, family gatherings, laughter, and creating lasting memories. Her smile brightened every room, and her presence made every occasion special.

A LEGACY HONORED In August 2025, while she was still living, the Redeemed Wellness Center dedicated and named its main lobby in her honor as the Linda Winston Lobby. This special recognition allowed Linda to personally experience the love and appreciation of her church family and community. To carry forward her legacy, the family established the Miss Linda K. Winston Foundation. Inspired by her long career with Boeing and her commitment to helping others succeed, the foundation provides support and encouragement to young people pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

CHERISHING HER MEMORY Linda leaves to cherish her memory her beloved parents, Deacon Lemmie Winston and Missionary Ora Winston of Seattle, Washington; her brother, Marshall Charles Winston (Yvonne) of Dallas, Texas; her children, Lasundra Winston of Dallas, Texas; Superintendent Lawrence C. Boles III (Dr. Jacqualine S. Boles) of Pacific, Washington; and Minister Salaythiea Boles of Lakewood, Washington. Her cherished grandchildren: Ajani Messiah (Seattle), Marquise Brown (Seattle), Emanuel Velez (Tacoma), Deondre Boles (Seattle), DesLarare Boles (Seattle), Freddie Boles (Pacific), Terrell Boles (Seattle), Thaddeus Boles (Seattle), and DeLawrence Boles (Tacoma). Her precious great-grandchildren: Mylah Brown (Phoenix), Makai Rosemond (Phoenix), Ailani Boles (Seattle), and Sekani Rosemond (Phoenix).
