Lisa Cain was born on October 24th, 1962 in Seattle, WA to Marion Arline Cain and Mack Curtis Cain. She was raised as one of fourteen children and resided in Seattle, WA. As a child, Lisa ran track for CAYA and other recreational teams, competing in several meets in Aberdeen, WA.
Lisa worked several years at Group Health and in the hospitality industry and was also a devoted volunteer at the Rainier Valley Food Bank, along with other local community food banks. Her most recent position was working at T-Mobile Park as a concessionaire. Lisa was an avid sports enthusiast (particularly football and basketball) and loved to attend family members’ games. She loved watching her daughter participate in the Dolls & Gents drill team and held the banner in the Torchlight Parade. For fun in her spare time, she played bingo and other games at the casino.
On Friday, July 9th, 2021, Lisa unexpectedly passed due to a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her daughter Deshayla Cain, son Mario Cain, mother Marion Arline Cain, father Mack Curtis Cain, brother Jerry Lee Cain, brother Frederick Cain, Sr., sister Stephanie Cain, sister Maxine Rollins, niece Celese McDuffie, nephew Frederick Rollins, Jr., and great-nephew David Marshall IV.
She leaves to celebrate her life her five children Michael Simpson, Mel Terrence Curry, Deonta Mercy, D’Marreio Mercy and Tavia Mitchell. Lisa is survived by siblings Donald Clay Bell, Darlene Wright-Battles, Jesse Cain, Constance (Thomas) Cunningham, Sharon Petty, Laverne Thomas, Mack Curtis Cain, Sydney (Yvonne) Cain, Lennie Todd (Barbara) Cain and a host of relatives and friends. Her laugh, smile and presence will be greatly missed.
