Lisa Patrice Kurle, 57 of New Roads, Louisiana passed away peacefully in her sleep. She is surrounded by laughter, smiles and love with her sister, Kim and mother Mae Lou in heaven.
Lisa exemplified the true essence of beauty and brains. There is not an individual that could match her swag or have the ability to rock any outfit or hairstyle.
Lisa graduated high school at the age of 16; she went on to get her Associates Degree in General Studies with the goal of becoming a doctor. However, after the passing of her mother, she decided to become a forest firefighter.
She married Sam Kurle in 1992; they shared 20 years together and raised 3 beautiful children.
Lisa was a fighter; although battling breast cancer, she did so with a smile on her face while simultaneously attending nursing school, which she graduated with a 4.1 GPA. Her knowledge did not go unrecognized, she went on to run a King County clinic for those entering our country in need of medical attention. Whatever Lisa set her mind to projected wisdom and joy.
Lisa was brave, exciting and adventurous; she loved to dance and sing. She would say her greatest achievement were her kids; she dedicated her life to being a fantastic mother.
She was the best gift giver and she always knew the right things to say; she never missed an opportunity to show up for those she loved, especially her kids.
She cherished her family and welcomed all with open arms, she filled her home with warmth and kindness. The tragedy of Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana is a testament to her devotion to her family; without hesitation she made sure her family were able to leave safely.
Her smile and laughter were infectious and engulfed all around her, brining an overwhelming sense of love and kindness. She was the foundation of her family and that can never be replaced.
Lisa is survived by her children, Rebekah, Rachel and Jakob, her brother Kirk and two sisters Vivian and Stephanie as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
