Lorrie Conklin was born October 29, 1968, to Josephine Conklin and Hascal Humes, and passed away June 26, 2026, in Seattle, Washington. She grew up in Seattle and the surrounding areas. Fishing, hiking, camping, and dancing were among her many loves. She was also very interested in sharks and eagles her whole life. She was always extremely social and, as many knew, shared widely across various social media platforms. She was always ready with her cell phone to take a picture and post it — both to preserve memories and to etch the moment in time in all of our minds. Her life’s work was raising three beautiful children, who have grown into wonderful people, inside and out. In their adulthood, they reflect Lorrie’s personality and caring character in every way. Her legacy was also one of helping people in the Seattle-Tacoma community — including many she didn’t personally know — through her counseling and social work. She would drop everything for a family member or close friend. Lorrie had a very large family and extended family in the Seattle area, and she loved spending time with them all. Lorrie cherished every chance to gather with family — from holidays with ninety to a hundred loved ones in the Seattle area with our Aunt Virginia, to celebrations in Los Angeles, the Bay Area of Northern California, and North Carolina for college graduations, marriages, and simple visits. She made every effort to attend, and treasured each gathering. She was always there — for her children first, Mitra, Anthony, and Richard; for her brother, Hascal Humes; for many cousins; and for other family members, without exception. Most recently, she traveled to Los Angeles to celebrate her niece Maya’s baby shower, just two weeks before her passing. page 3 - page numbers do not print Order of Service Prelude – Gathering Music “You Are the Sunshine of My Life” – Stevie Wonder Welcome & Opening Words Anthony Conklin Family and extended family are still grieving immensely from her loss.
