Lucille Marie Martin was born to Eva Lee Jones and Willie Thomas Martin in Jackson Tennessee. She attended ARCH Academy in Tennessee and Muldoon High School in Rockford, Illinois. She Graduated from Green River Community College in Washington with her High school diploma. Lucille moved from Rockford, IL to Seattle, WA in 1979.
She was full of life and loved to laugh with her devoted family. A feisty woman who spoke her mind with no problem asking for what she wanted. Lucille was a dedicated member of Beacon Hill First Baptist Church. She was an ambitious, creative, and resourceful person. She had high expectations and did her best to live her life to the fullest despite physical impairment. When the pain came, she knew that God would see her through. She was a remarkable and loving person, and she was great at encouraging others to keep going no matter what. She had a wonderful relationship with God, His purpose and the spiritual realm and gained great satisfaction listening to her gospel music. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so much, and her calm temperament will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. Lucille enjoyed spending time with family and expressed an interest in serving. Her favorite color was pink, and she was known for a unique and “fresh” style of dress with a beautiful smile to brighten any day.
Lucille was a proud wife of 43 years, and within this union she found rest and support.
She is survived by her husband Michael Jay Parker; Her parents Eva Lee Jones and Willie Thomas Martin, Her children, Teea Marie Martin, and Cean Marton(Amanda Mizumori); And her grandchildren, Ahteea Washington, Olivia Dieffenbach, Ryley Whittaker and Naleah Rose Marton; her siblings, LV Jackson (Bonnie), James Epperson, Gwendolyn Smith, Ronald Francis, and her baby sister Dr. Djuana “DeeDee” Tomlin, Ricky Olridge, Danny Billings, Brian Bates, Bruce Bates, Brad Bates, Michelle Milsap, Stephanie Martin (Stan Elamin); as well as a host of family and friends.
Lucille quietly departed this life on April 4th, and she will be forever missed.
