Major Horton Obituary

Major G. Horton, died March 26th, 2021 in Everett, Washington. He was born July 27th, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan and was the son of Charlenne Greer and Henry Horton.

Major spent his life in the pursuit of excellence. After graduating from Northern High School in Flint, Michigan, he continued his education at General Motors Institute (Now Kettering University) where he earned a degree in Engineering, and then finally earned a Master’s degree in Finance from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Major’s career travels led him through successful assignments at GM, Deloitte, Dell and Dell Financial Services, Rackspace and finally Level Ten Energy in Seattle, WA, where he was Chief Financial Officer.

Major leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Sydney and Kai Horton, his father, Henry Horton and wife Karen, His siblings; sister Gloria Harold (and husband Glenn), his brother, Vincent Greer, his sister, Malika Ali,  sister Paulette Francis, brother Jerome Horton & spouse Yvonne, sister, Glenda Sherman, His beloved aunts, Connie Davis, Verna Mae Holt, his uncle, William Greer (and wife Rachel) as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Major was preceded in death by his mother, Charlenne Greer.
