Marcella Allbritton Obituary

Marcella Elaine Allbritton 81, of Seattle Washington passed away at home with her older (Letitia) daughter by her side. Where she lived for 19 years. 

Marcella was born October 5, 1943, in Rock Island Illinois. She was born to the parents of William Albritton and Jolliette Brezzil Fentress.

Marcella graduated from United township high School in 1963 Marcella went on to attend Sterling cosmetology beauty School in East Moline Illinois. Where she received her cosmetology license in the late '60s. While going to school Marcella participated in a Ebony and Ivory fashion and hair show in Chicago Illinois, "68. 

Marcella was honored to be named the "First Black Woman of the (Quad City) Illinois to where a Afro! Marcella also joined the Black Panthers Party in the late 60's early 70's

Marcella became an artist later on in her life. Marcelo withdrawal and paints for hours every day. Marcella loved to create for herself and others.

Marcella attended path with arts at Pratt art studio in Seattle Washington in 2016. While attending school she put on art shows downtown Seattle Washington. Marcella graduated in 2019 when she received her certificate of art. After Marcella graduated in 2019, she was asked to come back to be an art instructor in 2020. 

 Marcella is survived by her three daughters Letitia Lee, Jolliette, St. Helens (Mark) and Colette Allbritton-Ragland (Lenard) Brother Paul Hawkins (Seattle) Tena Allbritton, Donald Allbritton, Kay Allbritton (Illinois) Goddaughters: Tasha Teague (Illinois) and Dr. Nea Teaque-Hearn (California) 11 grandchildren: Ashmere (Ronnie), Gabby Le'Vonte, Itaska, Lenette (Wayne), Lenihkia, Kimoni, Mykia, Kathleen, IsIs and Ares.

Host of Nephews and Nieces, Lots of Cousins and Friends

Preceded in death by parents William Allbritton and Jolliette Brezzell - Fentress, Brother Charles Fentress, Niece Nicole Fentress, Life partner Larry Day.
