Celebrating the Life of

Micheal-Jerome Soloman Torrey

September 8, 1997 – July 22, 2025

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for the gift of his life, we celebrate the too-short but beautifully impactful journey of Micheal-Jerome Soloman Torrey, who departed this life on July 22, 2025, at the age of 27. Though his time with us was brief, Micheal filled it with brilliance, curiosity, and love that reached far beyond his years.Born on September 8, 1997, Micheal was a radiant soul from the very beginning—intelligent, gentle, and driven. His faith foundation was laid early. As a young boy, Little Mike was baptized at Mount Zion Baptist Church and joyfully received the Right Hand of Fellowship on August 24, 2008, marking his commitment to Christ and his church family. Micheal attended Orca K–8 and was a proud graduate of Raisbeck Aviation High School in 2015, where his love for science, mechanics, and all things that fly took root. He pursued Mechanical Engineering at Highline Community College, always pushing the boundaries of what was possible. Micheal’s professional journey reflected his passion for innovation and excellence. He worked with QA Furniture Group in Kent, WA, and later stepped boldly into entrepreneurship, founding Torrid Labs, where he combined his technical gifts with a creative spirit to build and design drone technologies. His mind was wired for design, but his heart was wired for people. More than his achievements, Micheal was known for his generous heart. He served as a mentor to high school and college students, helping them secure internships and gain opportunities within QA Furniture Group. He believed in lifting others as he climbed and made it his mission to open doors for the next generation. Micheal was known for his adventurous spirit—he found joy on hiking trails, in time with family, in the hum of aviation engines, and in the quiet wonder of building something from nothing. Whether he was exploring new heights or diving into the latest innovation, he brought light and laughter wherever he went. Family Micheal was deeply loved by his mother, Lisa M. Alexander (Anthony) Holloway, and his father, Michael C. (Terryl) Torrey; Cherished by his siblings, Ariel and Dominic Torrey; Adored by his godfather, Jonathan Jackson; And embraced by a host of aunties, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends. He joins in eternal rest his grandparents: Violet Alexander, Soloman Crenshaw, and Dora(Willie) Abney. He leaves behind a legacy of love with his living grandparents: Jerome Torrey (Lois), whose prayers and presence anchored him. A

Life Remembered Though we mourn the loss of his earthly presence, we trust in the eternal promises of Christ. Micheal’s life is not measured by its length, but by the light he brought into the world—a light that cannot be extinguished. We will celebrate him with joy, honor him with our memories, and carry his legacy forward with hope. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." – Psalm 34:18 Micheal, your spirit soars higher now than any drone or dream ever could. Rest well, beloved. We’ll see you again.
