Moses Washington, Jr. was born July 6, 1957, in Charleston South Carolina to Arlee and Moses Washington, Sr.. He was raised with a strong southern heritage alongside six sisters prioritizing family. After receiving his GED Moses went onto Alabama State University briefly before beginning his career as a journeyman. Moses relocated to Seattle in 1981 with his sister Delores. It was in Seattle where Moses began to hone in on his skills to become a proficient tradesman. Moses was reliable, trustworthy, and very detail orientated in his craftsmanship. As a hardworking man Moses openly embraced challenges and found practical ways to overcome them. Moses was a Christian man dedicated to the Lord; as a young man at Calvary Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina. He practiced transferring his anxieties, worries, and burdens onto the Lord routinely. Moses retired at the age of sixty-seven. He spent his retirement in well-deserved rest and recreation. At 6:38pm on March 16, 2026 Moses was called home by the Lord. He passed away at the University of Washington Medical Center. Moses withstood two rounds of chemotherapy and gave a valiant effort at recovery. He handled his diagnosis with remarkable grace, combining peaceful acceptance of the journey and an unwavering determined spirit to fight his illness. Moses Leaves behind six sisters, four nieces, three nephews, five grand nieces, four grand nephews and three great grandnieces. He will be immensely missed, and his memory will be cherished for generations.
