Marie Thomas was born March 17, 1926, in Lake Providence, Louisiana to the union of the late Julia and Simuel Williams. She was one of five, Daughters.
In 1939 at the tender age of 13, Marie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.
On October 28, 1944, Marie was united in Holy Matrimony to Lonnie Thomas and this union was blessed with 12 children, seven boys and five girls.
Marie was a faithful and diligent member of Justice Baptist Chapel Church in Gilliam, Louisiana, serving in various capacities.
Marie moved to Seattle, Washington to be closer to her children and united with Daystar Baptist Church where she became the church Mother. Mother Thomas touched many lives and was loved by many.
Mother Thomas was preceded in death by her parents Julia and Simuel Williams. Her husband of 65 years Lonnie Thomas. Her eldest son, Eddie Thomas, Sr.; three grandchildren (Christy, Evelyn and Rodney); one great grandchild (Jade); and four sisters (Ruby, Gertrude, Irene and Corene).
She leaves to cherish her loving memory; 6 sons: Lonnie, Jr., John (Pam), Clyde (Lillie), Donald (Jennifer), Bennie (Gwen) and Charles; five daughters: Willie, Rutha, Mary (Donald), Betty and Linda. 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 4 great-greatgrandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
