The statement above is one made by Patricia Lee Hopkins born August 25th 1949 in dallas texas.

Her Last few words “really love, not that fake shit”, were Patricia’s outlook on life.

Avery simple yet complex lifestyle/mindset, Patricia was able to be a perfect example of the opening statement.

After being the first African American woman to graduate from Erving High School in Erving Texas, Patricia moved to Seattle WA where she would begin an amazing new chapter in her life.

Pat was a woman full of real love, as well as many talents. Her tremendous culinary skills had the ability to captivate anyone who had the pleasure of experiencing her many creations;

From pickles, to chaw-chaw, to jams/jelly’s, and baked goods there was nothing that Pat’s love did not influence.

Pat was able to share her love and influence people through her work experience at Ben Bridge, Sealand, and Dairygold where she retired after 18 years of employment.

Patricia was preceded in death by siblings Willie E. Brown Sr., Roberta B. Smith, Celestine Banks, Loritia Johnson, Virgina Banks, Willie Brown Jr., and Ladora Jackson.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memories husband John E. Hopkins; sons, Carlos T. Brown, Jamaal E. Hopkins and Armand H. Hopkins; grandchildren, Onjel Johnson and Rahmel Johnson; great granddaughter Nyeli Johnson;  siblings, Sylvester Johnson and Mary Wasson.
