Robert Gix Obituary

Robert Gix passed away at the age of 73.  He was born in Yakima, WA on March 01, 1949.  Robert was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and a beloved friend to so many.

He is survived by his Domestic Partner Wanda Williams, his children Camisha Gix and Marius Gix, their children Moses Gix, Jordan Gix, Camaya Dabney, Nathaniel Dabney.  His siblings Oliver P Mills Jr., Irene Carr, Doretha Dowell, Olivia Glasper and Otis Mills.  Nieces & nephews, Rochelle Dowell, Tonya Dowell, Carmen Carr, Alfred Carr, Raymark Carr, LaTerisha Moss, Glenda Glasper, Takisha Washington, Tina Mills, Otis Mills Jr., Danny Mills, Debra Mills and Clayton Mills.  Plus great nieces and nephews.

Robert graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in Spokane, Washington, Class of 1968.  Fresh out of High School he went to work at Wonder Bread then in 1969 he was drafted into the Army.  When his tour was completed he went back to Wonder Bread and worked until he retired.

Robert loved playing tennis and doing martial arts, he was a coach and mentor to many kids in the Spokane area.  Robert always had a positive attitude and instilled that into others.  He cared and was thoughtful of everyone.  He was well known in the Eastside Spokane Community Center.  Robert loved spending time with his grandkids.

Robert always had a positive mindset.  He will be missed by everyone.
