Roletta E. Jewell

Roletta Eulette Jewell (Ro) passed away suddenly at Auburn Hospital on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the age of 69 years. 
She was born on March 21, 1950 in Twin Falls, Idaho.
She is Survived by her loving husband of 49 years, William Jewell, three sons Don Jewell, Nate Jewell, and Charles Jewell.  Three Daughters-in-law Hollie Jewell, Tag Jewell, and Allison Jewell.  Six Grandchildren William Jewell, Jonathan Jewell, Thomas Jewell, Sara Jewell, Jayslin Jewell, and Lilly Jewell.  She is also survived by her sister Charlene Cherry and two brothers, Rod Whitaker, and Warren (Kelly) Whitaker.

There will be a visitation on Sunday, September 15th from 3 – 5 pm at Serenity’s Personal Alternative Chapel, 749 Central Ave N, Kent, WA  98032
Graveside Service will be on Monday September 16th at 10:15 at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St.  Kent, WA  98042
There will also be a Celebration of Life at 19425 SE 322nd St, Kent, WA  98042 immediately following the graveside service on Monday.

 

Footprints

One night a man had a dream.  He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.  Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.  For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.  He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.  He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it.  “LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way.  But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints.  I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.”  The LORD replied, “My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you.  During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.
