Ruby Doris Taylor, born March 24, 1930 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the union of Daisy and Kilrain Taylor.
As a child she was baptized at Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church. She graduated from Second Ward High School. While in High School she played on the baseball team.
She later met and married Wilson Diles and to this marriage she had two children, John and Irene. After seven years she had Michael Sias, two years later was Jennifer Anderson, and two more years later Douglas Anderson was born.
In 1965 she relocated her family to Los Angeles, and became a member of Mesiah Baptist Church, where she faithfully served on the Usher Board. While in Los Angeles, Ruby attended and graduated from Nursing School and received her nursing license.
In 1978, the family moved to Seattle to join her Sisters and Brothers from Kilrain and Lucille Taylor. She worked in the nursing field until retirement from the former Seattle Keiro Nursing Home.
Ruby loved to travel and often went to church conventions across the United States.
She was a faithful member of Peoples Institutional Baptist Church where she sang in the Gospel Choir, served in the Mission Ministry and other departments of the church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, one brother and one son. She leaves to mourn her passing, Brother Robert Taylor (Margaret), Sisters Zina, Rosie Bee, four children; John (Joyce), Irine, Michael and Jennifer, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and friends.
