Sara Jane Gulbransen was born May 29th, 1985 in Ogden, Utah and passed away June 30th, 2020 in Renton, Washington from a severe asthma attack.
Sara spent much of her childhood living in Farr West, Utah next to her Gram Gram and cousins. She was always getting into mischief on the farm with her sister Jenna and cousin Amber. After her baby sister, Bethany, was born, her family moved to Ogden, Utah. She attended Ben Lomond High School and graduated in 2003. Shortly after high school, she began her career in the eyecare field. She quickly advanced in her career and moved to Salt Lake City where she made many friends. After spending several years in Salt Lake, she moved to Seattle, Washington for a job opportunity in 2014. While in Seattle, she obtained her ophthalmic technician certification. Her most recent employer was Harborview Medical Center.
Sara easily made friends wherever she went and made many meaningful connections throughout the years. She had a great sense of humor and her sarcasm never failed to make others laugh. Sara loved her fur kids - Tom and Phoebe (cats) and Miguel (dog). Growing up, she would get into plenty of trouble with her sister Jenna. They would roam on the farm for hours leaving their mom ready to call a search party. She took on the older sister role well, and was always willing to take Bethany to do fun things. She took her to countless concerts, movies and games. During the last few years of her life, she lived right next door to Jenna and her nephews. She enjoyed spending time with them coloring, watching movies, building LEGOs and playing video games.
Sara is survived by her parents, Steven and Marinda Gulbransen, sister Jenna Gulbransen and her two boys, Egan Christopher and Alexander Adrian, sister Bethany (Andrew) Payne, and her soulmate and the love of her life, Michaela Pevalova.
