Shari Kiyoko Apuya earthly life begin January 12, 1981. She was the youngest four children born to Tony Apuya and Linda Sakumoto, on Oahu Island, Honolulu, Hawaii.
She received her formal education in the Honolulu School District, graduating from Farrington High School in Honolulu. She gave her life to Christ, and was baptized, in 2003, at the Word of Life Church under the leadership of Pastor Art.
In the year 2013 she relocated to Everett, Washington. Here she continued her education. She matriculated at the University of Phoenix, Seattle, earning her degree in Business Management. She was employed by Fred Meyer as a Store Manager. She later became employed as the Lead Teacher at Bright Horizon Day Care Center.
On July 24, 2014, Sister Apuya, and her niece Sharyl, united with the Beacon Hill First Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Calvin May. She was a faithful and dedicated member with a willing spirit. She attended Sunday School, served as Vice-president of the Usher Minister, a member of the Deaconess Ministry, and the Pastor’s Aid and Kitchen Committees.
Sister Apuya and Brother Larry Green were united in Holy Matrimony At on February 7, 2016,. To their union two children were born, Israel and Kholie. She was a very devoted and loving wife to her husband, and mother to her children.
Sister Shari Green made her transition from her Earthly Tabernacle to her mansion in her Father’s Kingdom suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, October 25, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Raymond Yoshio and Benjamin Apuya.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband, Brother Larry Green; children, Israel and Kholie; parents, Tony Apuya of Seattle, and Linda Sakumoto of Honolulu; grandmothers, Alice Sakumoto, and Lolita Apuya of Honolulu; three sisters, Lynn(Pei) Apuya-Faualo, Shannon, and Lolita Apuya of Honolulu; three uncles, Benjamin, and Roger (Cheryl) Apuya of Honolulu, and Vic Apuya of Seattle; one aunt, Norma (Jesus) Santos of Honolulu, in-laws, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, her Beacon Hill Church Family, and friends in Hawaii and Washington states. She will be missed by all.
