Sharon Tackett Obituary

Sharon Denise Tackett was born in Wilmington, Delaware on November 27, 1956 to the union of the late Ernest H. and Gertie Tackett, Sr.  She was the fourth child born to this union and was affectionately called “Pixie”.

Sharon was very kindhearted and lovable, with a soft-spoken personality.  She graduated in 1975 from Lincoln High School.  Wherever you took her she was always willing to pay her way.

Sharon loved fruit, especially grapes and spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed listening to music, two of her favorite artists were Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson.

Sharon worked for the Seattle School District as teaching assistant for many years.

Sharon believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and sought a closer relationship with Christ before she earned her wings. She passed away on February 25, 2021 at her home in Seattle. 

In addition to her parents Ernest H. and Gertie Tackett, Sr. Sharon was preceded in death by her brother Ernest Tackett, Jr. and sister, Rita Tackett.

Sharon leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted partner, Russel Latham, whom was always there until the end and made a positive difference in her life. Two sons Michael Butler, Jr. and Marche' Butler.  Four grandchildren: Da'shaya Butler, Kaiden Butler, Malachi Butler and Marche’ Butler, Jr.  Five siblings: Brenda (Vito) Tackett-Hughes, Darlene (James) Tackett, Bruce Tackett, Lisa (Milton) Tackett-Blair and Cynthia (Craig) Tackett.

Sharon shared a special bond with her great nephew J-Sean "Boogie" Tackett who was her honorary son whom she called her baby. A best friend Sharon Presley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins who loved her dearly.
