Shirley M. Montgomery

Shirley Mae Cann-Montgomery was born in Bremerton, Washington, on December 31, 1944. She is the daughter of the late Sylvester Cann Sr. and Lottie Mae Cann. She was married to the late Tommie Montgomery. Shirley entered eternal rest on April 24, 2025. Celebration of Life Service will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on May 10, 2025, at 12:30 PM. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tommie Montgomery; her parents, Sylvester Cann Sr. and Lottie Mae Cann; her daughter, Shellise Montgomery; her sister, Patrice Cann; and her sister-in-law, Andrea Cann.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, LeeShell Montgomery; four brothers: Sylvester Cann Jr. (Brenda), Ernest Cann, Robert Cann Sr. (Rena), and Melvin Cann - all of Seattle, WA; two sisters, Betty Bell (Henry) and Barbara Cann (Seattle); and her grandchildren: Tremaine, Tyrell, Shellise Jr, Michael, and Josiah. She is also survived by a host of nieces and great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews, cousins, and friends. She was loved and will be missed by many.
