Celebrating The Life Of Sylvester Allen Nathaniel Byrd

Beloved Brother, Son & Uncle. Sylvester Allen Nathaniel Byrd was born April 6, 1989 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Melody Byrd and Sylvester Hollins.

Sylvester attended Wing Luke Elementary, Maywood Middle School and Rainier Beach High School.

Sylvester was blessed with three beautiful children, Alisa Lamona D. Smith, Mieshawna M. Walker Byrd and Sylvester Allen Byrd Jr.  He was a great father who truly loved his children.

Sylvester was employed with Have a Heart and T-Mobile Park Stadium.  He loved his job and when he was not working, he would take the kids to the games.

Sylvester enjoyed the game of football and he played Semi-Pro Football for the Hurricanes and Raven from 2016-2022.

He loved making beats and playing the drums in church.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  No request was too big for Sylvester if you needed him, he was always there.  He will truly be missed by all who came to know and love him.

Sylvester departed this life on June 18, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother Lula Bell Anderson; grandfather Johnny Lee Byrd Sr.; uncle Johnny Lee Byrd Jr.; two great aunts and six great uncles.

Sylvester leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Melody Byrd; his children, Alisa Smith, Mieshawna Walker Byrd and Sylvester Byrd Jr; his brothers, Anthony Johnson and Damell Johnson; his grandmother Mary Sue Byrd; his aunt, Tiffany Byrd; his cousin, Justice Nelson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, God-sisters and friends.
